While the main attraction in Rimini are its miles of sandy and sunny beaches, there are a few monuments worth a visit, dating back to the first century, when the city was a Roman settlement.

After a few decades of development, going to the beach for sunbathing and swimming is no more a novelty, so many beach establishments make an extra effort to attract customers by portraying themselves as family oriented, or young-and-trendy, and offer different services and facilities. Furthermore, several upper category hotels are open all year round, and they offer weekend or week-long relaxation or wellness packages, including spa and massage sessions.
