Romagna is a land of passion, traditions and fun. Limited east by the low and sandy Adriatic coast, south by the mountain range of the Appennini, this region is an endless succession of hills and plains. On top of the hills, there’s always a town, big or small, often with a castle or an ancient tower, to remind the visitors of past memories. All around the sides of the hill, grapes are grown, bound to be turned to red and white wines by Fall.
The Roman-made Emily Way cuts through the whole region, from Bologna to the coast, to Rimini. The coast that every year watches thousands of people coming from all over Italy and Northern Europe, to enjoy the warm weather on its sunny beaches, and the many resorts and places to have fun.
This is the land that Rimini’s born director Federico Fellini portrayed in his Award-winning movie Amarcord.
What is the magic behind this land? Is it the timeless mosaics in Ravenna’s cathedrals, is it the world-wide famous ceramics of Faenza? Or is it the castles of Cesena, Bertinoro, their farming lands filled with fruit trees and grapes? Maybe it’s the many miles of sandy coast full of shops, restaturants and hotels, and from the coast the glimpse of the oldest Republic of Europe, San Marino, with its three-towered middle-age fortress.
Enjoy your visit, and discover what is the magic that you feel when you’re there!
